HELENA SERIES Helenium Seeds
The 'Helena' Helenium series produces vivid daisy-like flowers from July to October on easy to grow 4 foot plants. Butterflies love them and they are excellent for cutting. They look terrific at the back of flower borders.
'Helena Mix' helenium plants explode into bloom with flowers in shades of yellow, bronze-red and bicolors.
How to Plant HELENIUM Seeds
Sow Helenium seeds in cell packs or
flats, press into soil but
do not cover. Needs light to
germinate. Kept at 70° F, Helenium seed germinates in
10-21 days. Transplant Helenium seedlings into
the garden 12-18 inches
apart. See Starting Seeds for more information.
Comments: Helenium plants perform best in full sun. Helenium flowers attract honey bees and butterflies; are excellent cut flowers. Helenium plants tolerate both heat and drought, and are rabbit and deer resistant plants.
