Frosted Explosion adds a soft airy texture to bouquets and flower beds. Seed heads mature into beautiful bronze-pink, fiberoptic plumes, which shine as filler in cut flower bouquets, both fresh and dried. Long-lasting cut stems stay fresh for 10-14 days in a vase. Plants are quick and easy to grow, and highly productive when harvested regularly. When left to mature, plants grow 24-36 in. tall. Frosted Explosion is an annual ornamental grass.
Growing Frosted Explosion Switchgrass Seeds
Sow in cell packs or flats, barely cover, light aids in germination. Kept at 60-65°F., germination is in 7-14 days. Transplant seedlings 10-12 in. apart.
