Rhodochiton atrosanguineum

This incredibly free flowering 10 foot vine features masses of bell-shaped maroon-purple flowers with deep purple corollas that hang gracefully from ends of threadlike stems. The small, heart-shaped green leaves are edged in burgundy. Makes stunning hanging baskets or train up string trellises. Prefers afternoon shade. Perennial in frost free climates it is grown as annual everywhere else. Start indoors 8 weeks prior to the last spring frost, it begins blooming in about 16 weeks. Packet is 15 seeds.
