Incredibly free flowering 10 foot vine featuring masses of bell-shaped maroon flowers with deep purple corollas that hang gracefully from ends of threadlike stems. The green leaves are smooth textured, and heart-shaped. Purple Bell Vine makes stunning hanging baskets, or train up string trellises. Prefers afternoon shade. Perennial in frost free climates it can be grown as annual everywhere. Begins blooming in about 16 weeks from seed.
Sow seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil and barely cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 70-80° F., germination occurs over a period of 12-40 days.
