Graceland
Laceflower Seeds
Ammi majus
Elegant, large and flat, pure-white flower heads are carried on straight, strong stems. They are superb in fresh-cut or dried bouquets. Graceland laceflower blooms all summer, attracts beneficial insects, and will grow to 3½ -4½ ft. tall. Does not need staking when surrounded by other tall plants. Foliage is dark green and fern-like.
Growing Graceland Laceflower Seeds
Plant Laceflower Seeds: Sow seeds in cell packs or 2 in. pots, press into soil but do not cover. Light aids germination. Kept at 60-65° F., germination is in 14-25 days. Can direct sow (barely cover) after all danger of frost in groups of 3 seeds spaced 15-24 in. apart. Thin to the strongest plant.
Grow Laceflower: Plants need regular moisture and full to part sun. Attracts beneficial insects. For fresh cut flowers: When 75% of the blooms in a flower head is open, cut stem using a sharp knife, and remove bottom leaves. Dried flowers: hang flower heads in a dry, dark place. Darkness preserves color of the blooms, light will cause flowers to brown.
