Yummy Mummy marigold flowers look more like chrysanthemums with dense centers and curvy-petaled florets that fly out along the outer edges. All summer and fall, bushy 12 in. plants with deep green, feathery foliage easily hold up the many 4 in. flowers in citrusy shades of orange, yellow and gold. Bees and other pollinators are attracted to Yummy Mummy marigolds. Grow in borders and containers, or massed in garden beds.
Growing Yummy Mummy Marigold Seeds
Sow marigold seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil and lightly cover. Kept at 70-75°F. germination is in 5-20 days. Transplant seedlings into the garden 8-18 in. apart (spacing is variety specific, and is on our packets) after all danger of frost.
