Dianthus Seeds
All America Selections Winner. Supra Purple is an interspecific hybrid dianthus with brilliant rosy purple, frilly-petaled, self-cleaning flowers in spring, summer, and fall. Dense, 10-12 in. mounding plants with narrow, medium green foliage tolerate significant heat, drought and frost. Supra Purple is a short-lived, first-year flowering perennial dianthus, winter hardy to zone 5. It may be grown as an annual in any zone.
Growing Supra Purple Dianthus Seeds
Sow dianthus seeds in cell packs or flats, press into soil and lightly cover. Kept at 65-70°F., germination is in 1-2 weeks. Transplant seedlings into the garden 12-18 in. apart.
