Avignon Early Blue
English Lavender Seeds
Lavandula angustifolia
Although Avignon Early Blue is an English lavender, it is named after a French town in the heart of Provence, the lavender capital of the world. Flowering begins considerably earlier than other English lavenders; Avignon Early Blue thrives in the cool weather of spring, and blooms through early summer in clear violet blue. Plants and flower stems are sturdy and strong, blooming on 10-12 in. tall and 9-11 in. wide mounds of attractive gray-green foliage. Avignon Early Blue is winter hardy to zone 6.
