Emerald Falls Dichondra, when compared to Silver Falls, grows fuller and not as long, with slightly more rounded, deep green leaves. Emerald Falls creates a dense, symmetrical, just clipped appearance that looks very attractive in hanging baskets, where it will trail about 2 ft. over the edge.
Emerald Falls Dichondra also makes an outstanding low growing, 2-4 in. tall ground cover. Like Silver Falls, it is heat and drought tolerant, needing only sun and well-drained soil to thrive.
Growing Emerald Falls Dichondra Seeds
Sow dichondra seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil, do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 70-75° F., germination is in 4-15 days. Transplant into the garden after all danger of frost.
