Summer Picnic Mix is a heat-tolerant blend of five red and green lettuces, combined in easy-to-sow multi-seed pellets. The resulting 12 in. mound of succulent leaves can be harvested multiple times over the summer season. Plant pellets at least 4 in. apart in pots or garden beds.
Growing Summer Picnic Mix Simply Salad Lettuce Seeds
Sow seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil and cover lightly. Kept at 60-65°F., germination averages 7-14 days.
Sow Simply Salad lettuce seeds every two weeks through early summer, starting as soon as the ground can be worked in the spring. For fall planting, start seeds mid-summer in cool climates - or towards the end of summer in areas with considerable heat.
