Blue Diamonds Heliophila produces masses of shimmering, periwinkle blue flowers with white centers. Bloom is from early spring to mid-summer. Growth is slender and branching, to 12-18″ tall. Plants prefer cool weather. Also called 'Cape Stock' in reference to its South African origin.
How to Plant Heliophila
Direct sow Heliophila seeds into prepared seed beds that have been cleared of weeds and have had the top 1″ of soil loosened. Rake seed in. Press into soil by walking over the area. Keep moist until germination. Can also be started indoors in 2″ pots.
