ESCAPADE BLUE IMPROVED

Plumbagos produce large clusters of shining, 1.5 inch azure-blue flowers over a long spring, summer and fall season. They grow to 4-6 feet or more tall when grown as a perennial (zones 9-10). Plumbago plants can be grown as annuals everywhere. They grow into 2 foot tall flowering shrubs the first year.
'Escapade Blue Improved' Plumbago is an excellent plant for patio containers, banks, and backgrounds. It can be tied to a trellis and grown as a vine. 'Escapade Blue Improved' is more compact and better branching than cutting grown plumbago plants. It has a higher germination rate and darker flower color compared to other seed grown plumbagos.
How to Plant PLUMBAGO Seeds
Sow seed in cell packs or flats, press into soil and barely cover. Kept at 65-75° F., germination averages 25-30 days. Transplant into the garden 4 feet apart after all danger of frost. When growing as an annual space 2 feet apart.
