An exquisite, heavy blooming, 6 foot tall climber that produces 1-2 inch violet blue, pink, or white trumpets from midsummer until frost. Train Jewel Mixed Asarina on a trellis or plant in hanging baskets. A perennial in zones 9 and 10, it can be grown as an annual everywhere.
Start indoors 10-12 weeks before the last frost. Sow in cell packs or flats, press into soil but do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 70-75°F., germination is in 14-21 days. When seedlings have several sets of true leaves, transplant into individual containers.
