How to plant Firecracker Vine Seeds

To quicken germination, soak seed in lukewarm water for 2 hours, or nick the pointed end with a knife or nail clippers. Then sow in 2 inch pots or cell packs and cover with ¼ inch of soil. Kept at 70°F., germination is in 14-28 days. Can be direct sown after all danger of frost, 4-6 seeds per foot. Thin to 12-36 inches apart.

Growing firecracker vine: Full or part sun. Nearly any soil with good drainage. Heat tolerant, drought tolerant once established, faster growing, heavier blooming with regular water. Nectar-rich flowers are loved by hummingbirds and butterflies. Deer resistant.
